WE DID IT!!

The title of this blog explains it all. My husband and I are BOTH officially working in sports. This has been a long time coming and couldn't be happier.

We moved to Arizona a few weeks ago because he accepted a job with Arizona State Athletics as a Ticket Sales Consultant. He is beyond excited for the new adventure. During the first week here I had an interview with the Phoenix Coyotes for their Group Sales Account Executive. I heard back pretty quickly (end of the week) that I got the job. I was super excited about this. It has been a long time that we have prayed and wanted this.

When we both met (but didn't date) we were working for the Iowa Energy, NBA D-League team. We started dating soon after we left the team. He left to work for a race track in Kansas. I went to work for a minor league team. Then we went to OKC for his job with the OKC Redhawks. It was great at first, because I got a job with an IFL team. Then they went under. I worked for the RedHawks too part-time, but never got that big break. It was a great experience for both of us.  Learned a lot about myself during that time which has fueled my passion for sports even more. Right before he got his current job, I was able to FINALLY get on with the Barons. So I said bye to the Barons, which was really hard because I had some great friends there.

  1. You must be able to adapt really well moving so much and taking all these different jobs! I'm definitely not a person for change! I'm so glad you are both working in a place where you'd like to work and that you're happy! It's such a small world that your husband worked in Kansas! That's where I live (and have lived all my life!)

  2. As one obsessed with hockey....CONGRATS! This is awesome! I actually hope to attend a Coyote's game this year while visiting a friend in the Phoenix area. I have multiple friends who play hockey, both college and professional, and love this sport. Sounds like such a great new adventure for you!

And THANK you for the Liebster nom! I just posted a response to a previous one a few weeks ago. I never thought anyone would want to read my little space :) I feel so thankful!
