I'm really excited about it because it secures that I will be employed for the future. I'm relieved about that because for a while I was really nervous that I was going to lose my job. It's really scary to be in that situation since I do have a family. Like most families now a days we need BOTH of our incomes to pay the bills, and do some of the fun stuff we want to do.
Now I'm not trying to be too complainy because others don't have jobs, and in our situation many employees have been through this 3 or 4 times. I can't even imagine that type of stress. Coming home everyday I tried not to think about and just go about my day like normal, but hearing it over and over on the phones and having to answer questions from my friends as well. I know that they mean well and they want to know but I really didn't know. I had to remain positive, and that the NHL and city of Glendale were working optimistically to come to a resolution. (Well rehearsed, right?)
Last week we got our goals, and they are HUGE! I'm going to need lots of prayers to hit this goal. Now I'm ready for a schedule to come out and see which teams are coming to the Valley.
What a difficult thing to go through! Working in sports is always a difficult career. My husband spent four years working in baseball and it was hard on him in all aspects. Some people think its always glamorous, but it can sometimes be very challenging! :)

Of all professional sports, hockey is probably the one I know the least about and pay the least amount of attention to, but I've always hoped the Coyotes would stay in PHX! Hopefully they get everything finalized and solidified once and for all!
ReplyDeleteYeah I have been hearing all about the news about the Coyotes and thinking of you often! I have been in the position with not having a job and I would never wish it upon anyone!
