How to Sell the Last Seat in the House took me forever to read. I can't even remember when I started reading but I took my time because there's so much good information I didn't want to overlook something just to get through the book.
One of the biggest ideas I took away from the book was NEVER give your product away. Your product is worth something so don't cheapen it. I learned about premiums and packaging tickets. There is just so much GOOD information that you should just read it.
The next book is Winning the Customer written Lou Imbriano was absolutely amazing. I learned how I can be a better candidate for sports positions. I also learned tips and tricks to improve relationship between sponsors and the teams.
The biggest thing I took away from this book is to listen and build a relationship with people you want to sell your product too. Also make sure it is a fit for both sides. The worse thing you can do is sell them something they don't want.
Also, everyone has their own specific skill set and excels in different things. I should look to the left or right to see what others are doing and try to be that but focus on what I can bring to the team. This next one is hard for me because I want to do it all because I want to put a great product on the field. I should never leave my primary responsibility to help others out. I need to do my job to the best that I can and I am not doing that by helping others out.
There are so many more tips in each book I could tell you but the best thing to do is read the books yourself. I hope you enjoyed the blog.
If you know of any book clubs in Oklahoma City area, please let me know. I have heard of a few and tried to get involved but they are "invite only" book clubs. I would love to meet more book worms like myself. Have a great week everyone!
